Titan Collaborates with Global Material Suppliers for Live Printing of High-Performance Materials at AMUG 2019

CHICAGO, IL – Titan Robotics, Ltd. will showcase for the first time its state-of-the-art, industrial Hybrid Atlas 3D Printer with Pellet and Filament Extrusion capabilities at this year’s Additive Manufacturing Users Group conference. To demonstrate printing of production parts using high-performance materials on the Atlas 3D printer platform, Titan is excited to partner with three of the top chemical companies serving the Additive Manufacturing industry: Arkema Inc., DuPont™ and NatureWorks.

As a leader in advanced, production-ready AM machines and technology, Titan’s expertise continues to grow in both pellet extrusion 3D printing and high flow filament extrusion 3D printing. As a solution provider to industrial customers, Titan continues to partner with global materials companies to offer high-performance materials to make functional parts.

Titan will be printing with three unique materials on the Atlas 3D Printer during the AMUG Expo, March 31 and April 1. AMUG Expo attendees will have the opportunity to witness high speed printing of these materials from Arkema, DuPont™ and NatureWorks. Representatives from Titan and the material companies will be at the Titan booth to discuss printer capabilities, material properties and, customers’ application needs.

A high temperature, high performance material, Kepstan® PEKK is an ideal material for production applications due to its high strength, ease of processing, flame retardancy, low outgassing, dielectric properties, and chemical resistance. Titan will conduct live printing of Kepstan® PEKK with glass fiber in pellet form during the first night of AMUG.

Monday, April 1, 10am – 2pm: NatureWorks’ Custom Ingeo™ PLA for Additive Manufacturing

Ingeo™ recycled PLA pellets & Ingeo™ 3D450 breakaway filament by NatureWorks

NatureWorks has developed a series of Ingeo™ PLA 3D printing materials specifically designed to meet the performance requirements of industrial-use parts including high strength, heat resistance, and even clean incineration for foundry applications while maintaining printability. Expanding this portfolio, NatureWorks has recently introduced Ingeo 3D450, a breakaway material combining great printability and tailored adhesion ideal for building with supports, with a clean breakaway that minimizes the need for post-processing. Titan will conduct live printing with these materials on its Atlas Hybrid Pellet + Filament Extrusion system while also showcasing a proof-of-concept Ingeo polymer made from a blend of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled materials.

DuPont™ Hytrel® TPC-ET 3D printing material is a versatile copolyester that combines the flexibility of rubber with the strength and processability of thermoplastics. It blends heat and chemical resistance with strength, resilience and durability. Titan will conduct live printing of DuPont™ Hytrel® in pellet form during the second night of AMUG.
